The 22-year-old midfielder is the third Potts to play for the Club, following his father Steve and older brother Dan.

He ‘One of our own’, as the Claret and Blue Army sing to the latest member of the Potts family, and the latest graduate of the Academy of Football, to make his mark in the men’s first team.

After making an impressive full Premier League debut against Newcastle United and following that with another eye-catching showing against Burnley, Potts sat down with hosts Chris Scull and Carlton Cole - a former teammate of Dan, Academy coaching colleague of Steve and Academy coach to Freddie - for the latest edition of the Club’s Official Podcast Iron Cast.

The youngest Potts recalled attending the 2012 Championship Play-Off final at Wembley Stadium, spoke about being coached by his father, his productive loan spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Portsmouth, being part of the West Ham squad which won the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2023 and transferring everything he has learned to the Premier League.

The No32 also spoke of his excitement at being part of the recent resurgence under Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo and his pride in the support he and his teammates receive from the Claret and Blue Army.
