Hammers fan Artful Dodger revels in Europa Conference League triumph

For West Ham United fan and DJ The Artful Dodger, the UEFA Europa Conference League triumph was a couple of days that will live in his memory forever.

Having witnessed our 2-1 victory over Fiorentina with his young daughter at the Eden Aréna in Prague, he was then invited to DJ at our victory parade in front of tens of thousands of Hammers through the streets of east London.

Still pinching himself at the events of the night before, the Thursday parade was another magical moment for The Artful Dodger, as he recounted to West Ham TV.

“It was unbelievable in Prague,” he said. “I took my nine-year-old daughter to watch it and what memories for that girl. I’ve been waiting 43 years to win something and she’s only had nine, but unbelievable, what a night for the boys. They did amazingly.

“The way it was won too, Bowen in the 90th minute, blinding. Couldn’t ask for a better result.

“When I was asked to DJ at the parade, I thought: ‘What an honour’. I jumped at the chance and it was great to warm up the crowd for the main boys coming down.

“I saw that Moyesy had some moves, so I downloaded The Proclaimers just for him!

“We’ve got a taste for this now, so hopefully we can win the Europa League next year. I’m still in shock to be fair!”
