So far, ten West Ham United women’s team players have been called up by their respective countries for the final international break of the 2024/25 season.
UEFA Women’s Nations League action will once again take centre stage, as the group stage comes to its conclusion.
In Group A1, Verena Hanshaw has been called up to Austria’s squad as they prepare to take on Scotland (Friday 30 May, kick-off 7.35pm BST) and Germany (Tuesday 3 June, 7.30pm BST). While they cannot reach the finals of the competition, Austria will be confirmed in a relegation play-off if they avoid defeat against Scotland.
Seraina Piubel has been named in Switzerland’s squad for their Group A2 fixtures against France (Friday 30 May, 8.10pm BST) and Norway (Tuesday 3 June, 7pm BST). The Hammers forward’s side currently sit bottom of the standings on two points from their four matches played.
Defender Amber Tysiak has been called up by Belgium, as they take on Spain (Friday 30 May, 7.30pm BST) and Portugal (Tuesday 3 June, 6pm BST), looking to avoid relegation from Group A3. The 25-year-old was part of the side that defeated reigning European champions England to help Belgium register their first three points of the competition in the most recent set of international fixtures.
At the summit of Group B1, unbeaten Poland have once again called up West Ham goalkeeper Kinga Szemik, who will look to help her country secure promotion should they avoid defeat against Northern Ireland (Friday 30 May, 7pm BST). They will also take on bottom-of-the-table Romania (Tuesday 3 June, 6pm BST).
Meanwhile, in Group B2, Jessie Stapleton has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad to face Turkey (Friday 30 May, 6pm BST) and Slovenia (Tuesday 3 June, 6pm BST). The defender, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Sunderland, could help her side claim a promotion play-off spot during the international break.
And in Group B3, Finnish duo Oona Siren and Eva Nyström will once again represent their country, who currently sit second in the standings, as they face Belarus (Friday 30 May, 7pm BST) and Serbia (Tuesday 3 June, 6pm BST). Like Stapleton’s Republic of Ireland, Siren and Nyström could book themselves a place in the promotion play-offs if they draw with Belarus and Serbia beat Hungary.
Elsewhere, defender Shelina Zadorsky has been named in Canada’s squad for their upcoming pair of friendlies against Haiti (Saturday 31 May, 7pm BST, Wednesday 4 June, 12.30am BST), while Riko Ueki will also be in friendly action, having been named in Japan’s squad for their fixtures against Brazil (Saturday 31 May, 1.30am BST, Tuesday 3 June, 12am BST).
Meanwhile, Camila Sáez will link up with Chile, for their friendly match against Catalonia (Sunday 1 June, 6pm BST), as forward Shekiera Martinez has been called up to Germany's U23s squad for their friendly fixtures against USA U23s (Friday 30 May, 5.30pm BST, Monday 2 June, 8pm BST). The 23-year-old helped her country lift the WU23 European competition trophy in the April international break.
