West Ham United have appointed Greg Lincoln as the Academy of Football’s Head of Coaching and Player Development.
UEFA Pro Licence holder Lincoln joins the Hammers after a successful four-year spell at The Football Association, where he held the role of England National Head Coach.
That position saw the Hertfordshire-born Lincoln take charge of England’s U16s and U17s, while he was part of the coaching staff as England U19s won the UEFA European Championship title in 2022.
The 45-year-old combined his role with England with that of Professional Development Phase Technical Coach at Arsenal. Prior to spending eleven years with the Gunners, Lincoln was an Academy Phase Coach at Tottenham Hotspur.
As a youngster, Lincoln also spent eleven years with Arsenal’s Academy as a midfielder, turning professional in 2001. He was part of England’s squad at the 1999 FIFA U-20 World Cup alongside Ashley Cole, Peter Crouch and future West Ham winger Matty Etherington, before finishing his playing career with a number of non-league clubs.
Everyone at West Ham United would like to welcome Greg to the Club and wish him every success in his career at the Academy of Football.
