Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 37 hints and tips

West Ham United host Luton Town in their final home game of the Premier League campaign on Saturday afternoon.

David Moyes’ charges will be aiming to complete the Premier League double over relegation-threatened Luton, having won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Kenilworth Road in September.

The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 37 deadline is set for 11am on Saturday 11 May, ahead of the penultimate weekend of Premier League action.

While we will be giving you FPL tips and tricks throughout the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign on whufc.com, see below for some of our picks for the upcoming round…

For Gameweek 37 and the visit of Rob Edwards' relegation-threatened Hatters, all eyes are on Mohammed Kudus…

Kudus to finish first season with a flourish?

As outlined in his preview of Saturday's fixture, Mohammed Kudus (£6.7m) means business this weekend.

The Ghanaian has scored 13 goals and provided five assists so far throughout a fine debut season with the Club following his move from Ajax last summer, proving to be a shrewd addition for the Hammers.

Mohammed Kudus

Kudus has registered 125 FPL points during the Premier League campaign and he has the capabilities to create that moment of much-needed magic for Moyes’ side through his strength, skill and ability to keep his composure in front of goal.

He had registered ten, eleven, 12 and 16-point hauls throughout the season already – and you would be brave to bet against him repeating that feat this weekend against a side with the second-worst goal difference in the top-flight.

Should you prefer a different Hammers option in your FPL team this weekend, how about taking a gamble that David Moyes' side can sign-off their home fixture slate with a rare clean sheet?

It is fair to say goalkeeper Alphonse Areola (£4.2m) has been busy between the sticks in recent weeks, so it is hard to envisage a quiet afternoon for the Frenchman considering the Irons have not kept their opponents out since their 0-0 draw with Brighton on 2 January - 17 top-flight matches ago.

The 31-year-old claimed a 13-point haul against Everton in March, which was achieved despite him failing to keep a clean sheet, and he will be key this weekend as the Hammers aim to end the season strongly.

And, as always, it is worth mentioning top goalscorer Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m), who continues to be a valuable asset for FPL managers.

Bowen, who scored his 20th goal of the season in all competitions against Liverpool recently, has registered 180 FPL points this season, including that 13-point gameweek against Liverpool two weeks ago.

Only five midfielders have scored more points than Bowen - Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Mohamed Salah and Heung-min Son - and at a bargain price, surely you can find a way of working our No20 into your lineup, if he isn't there already?

Opposition watch: Luton Town

Forwards Carlton Morris (£4.7m) and Elijah Adebayo (£4.8m) are two solid options for Luton Town this weekend, and they will be leading the charge for the Hatters as they chase the win that they desperately need in their bid to avoid relegation.

Luton Town

The forwards are joint-top of the scoring charts for Luton with ten goals apiece, which is an impressive return for a club having their first-ever season in the Premier League. To put that into perspective, out of the 49 Premier League goals the club have scored, the duo are responsible for just over 40 per cent of them.

Other options for the Hatters include the attacking left-footer Alfie Doughty (£4.4m) who has been ever-present at full-back this season.

He has registered an impressive 92 FPL points so far this campaign, while scoring one goal and registering seven assists.

Also, congratulations to Sam Edwards, who is top of the table with 2,430 points heading into Gameweek 37.

Can Sam hang on to take the title, or will the likes of Ollie Truman (2,420), Josh McMullan (2,411) or Yong Huat Poh (2,398) pip him to top spot?
