West Ham United fell to a 2-0 defeat to Brentford in their final game of 2022 on Friday night.
Despite starting brightly and seeing Declan Rice hit the post early on, the Hammers found themselves two goals at the break following sucker punches from Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva.
Craig Dawson and Jarrod Bowen both went close as West Ham looked for a route back into the contest, but the all-important goal would not arrive as Brentford left with the points.
