It was on this day 17 years ago that Carlos Tevez made the move to West Ham United!
Signed from Brazilian club Corinthians alongside Argentine compatriot Javier Mascherano on 31 August 2006, Tevez wrote himself into Hammers folklore with a string of vital finishes in the 2006/07 season, helping Alan Curbishley's Irons avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Stunning strikes against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur. Chelsea, Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers turned Tevez into the toast of east London before his departure to the Red Devils in the summer of 2007.
The striker, who would also play for Manchester City, Juventus, Boca Juniors and Shanghai Shenhua in his career, scored seven goals in 29 appearances for West Ham.
