Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round Draw - All You Need To Know

West Ham United sealed a place in the Emirates FA Cup fourth round with a 1-0 victory at Brentford on Saturday evening.

The Hammers secured one of the 32 spots in the next phase of the world's oldest knockout cup competition by ending our run of six games without a victory thanks to Saïd Benrahma's fierce strike from range at Gtech Community Stadium.

Of course, West Ham has won the prestigious cup competition three times in the Club’s history. After triumphs in 1964 and 1975, the most recent FA Cup win came in 1980, when a Trevor Brooking header memorably beat Arsenal 1-0 at Wembley Stadium.

In last season’s FA Cup, David Moyes’ men were eliminated in the fifth round, falling to a 3-1 defeat to Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on 2 March 2022. The Hammers had previously beaten Leeds United and Kidderminster to reach that stage.

West Ham last reached a FA Cup Final in 2006 but lost to Liverpool – the current FA Cup holders – after a 3-3 draw on penalties.

When will the fourth round draw take place?

The draw for the FA Cup fourth round proper will take place on Sunday 8 January. It will be made ahead of the third round tie between Manchester City and Chelsea and will be broadcast live in the UK on BBC One at around 4.05pm GMT.

Supporters will also be able to tune in on the FA Cup's official Twitter and Facebook pages, while we will be carrying news of the draw right here on whufc.com and our official mobile app.

What ball number will we be?

West Ham United's ball number is 10 in the draw

How did the fourth round unfold in 2021/22?

Our last fourth round tie saw us pitted against Kidderminster Harriers of the National League North.

Jarrod Bowen celebrates his winning goal at Kidderminster Harriers

We needed a late, late goal from Declan Rice to take the Aggborough contest to extra-time after Alex Penney had fired the non-leaguers into a shock lead.

Having drawn level, Jarrod Bowen then struck at the end of the additional 30 minutes to secure a 2-1 win for the Hammers.

So, who could we play against?

The fourth round sees the 32 winners of this weekend's ties battle it out to take another step along the road to Wembley.

National League outfit Boreham Wood are the lowest ranked team in the draw, after they drew 1-1 with Accrington Stanley on Saturday, while fellow fifth-tier teams Wrexham and Chesterfield are also in the hat.

Everton, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, AFC Bournemouth and Brentford are the five Premier League clubs to have exited already.

When will our fourth round tie take place?

The FA Cup fourth round fixtures will take place across the weekend of Friday 27 January-Monday 30 January 2023.

A date and time for the fourth round fixture will be confirmed in due course, following the draw.

Without getting ahead of ourselves, when will the later rounds be played?

Quarter-finals: Saturday 18 March 2023
Semi-finals: Saturday 22 April 2023
