Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, presented by Heineken...
West Ham United held off a late comeback from Burnley to register a 5-3 victory at the Boleyn Ground on this day 15 years ago!
The Clarets looked set for humiliation when they found themselves 5-0 down with 64 minutes on the clock, and although they restored some pride with three unanswered goals of their own in the closing stages, their efforts were ultimately to prove fruitless.
The Hammers were 3-0 up at the break thanks to goals from Jack Collison and Junior Stanislas, as well as a Cartlon Cole penalty.
Guillermo Franco made it four just after the restart and another penalty, this time converted by Luis Jiménez, completed West Ham's scoring.
Burnley finally woke up, with Steven Fletcher notching twice before Chris Eagles added a third, but it was all to no avail as the Hammers triumphed.
