On This Day | Di Canio dazzles to down Arsenal

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history...

Paolo Di Canio was at his brilliant best on this day in 1999 as the Hammers defeated Arsenal 2-1 at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League.

The Italian forward scored in each half, converting from close range before half-time before brilliantly flicking the ball past Martin Keown and leaving David Seaman helpless with an inch-perfect finish for his second.

Future Hammer Davor Šuker pulled one back for the Gunners, but Di Canio's brilliance had already won the game for his side.

Enjoy his Arsenal double again in our video above!
