On This Day: Bobby's goal beats Bluebirds

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Heineken...

Bobby Zamora netted the second goal of his West Ham United career to see the Hammers past a resilient Cardiff City side with a 1-0 win at the Boleyn Ground on this day in 2004.

The striker had joined the Club in the January transfer window as part of Jermian Defoe's switch to Tottenham Hotspur, and had found the net on his debut against Bradford City.

Then, on his home debut against the Bluebirds, Zamora struck with 73 minutes on the clock, placing his effort past future West Ham goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson to give the Irons all three points.
