Mipo Odubeko and Dan Chesters

Chesters & Odubeko complete loan moves

West Ham United can confirm that Academy players Dan Chesters and Mipo Odubeko have departed the Club on season-long loans.

Striker Odubeko has signed for EFL League One side Port Vale for the 2022/23 campaign, while winger Chesters has moved to EFL League Two club Colchester United.

Odubeko will be looking to secure the third-tier status of Darrell Clarke’s Port Vale, who were promoted from League Two via the Play-Offs last campaign after beating Mansfield Town 3-0 in the final.

Chesters, meanwhile, will be hoping to help Wayne Brown’s U's improve on their 15th-place finish in League Two last season. He will link up with former Hammers Freddie Sears and Frank Nouble in Essex.

Odubeko joined the Hammers from Manchester United in 2019 and has previously spent loan spells at Huddersfield Town and Doncaster Rovers, while Chesters has been in the Academy of Football since U8s level and made his debut in the development side as a 15-year-old in 2018.

Everyone at West Ham United wishes Mipo and Dan all the best with their respective loan spells.
