West Ham United women’s team were held to a 0-0 draw by Brighton & Hove Albion as the two sides played out a hard-fought contest in east London on Easter Sunday.

Both sides cancelled each other out in a clash that carried all the hallmarks of a potential season-defining clash. In a close affair, Honoka Hayashi had the best chance of the match as her strike was clawed away by Albion goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley.

There were more chances during the game, but Rehanne Skinner's side had to settle for the point which takes them seven clear of bottom club Bristol City, whilst also keeping a confidence boosting clean sheet.
