West Ham United U23s have seen several recent changes to their Premier League 2 Division 1 and Premier League Cup fixture calendar for October.
Firstly, Dmitri Halajko’s development squad’s Premier League 2 game at home to Everton – originally scheduled for Monday 4 October – will now be played behind closed doors at Rush Green on Saturday 2 October, kicking off at 3pm.
The young Hammers last faced the young Toffees in the equivalent fixture back in April, winning 2-1 courtesy of a second-half brace from Mipo Odubeko.
The next change involves the U23s’ Premier League Cup schedule: following Exeter City’s victory over Plymouth Argyle in the Cup’s qualifying round earlier this month, the young Hammers’ schedule in Group F has been confirmed.
Halajko’s development squad will welcome the Grecians to Rush Green for their second group-stage game on Wednesday 13 October (kick off at 2pm), with the return game also confirmed for Tuesday 18 January 2022 (kicking off at 7pm).
West Ham will be hoping to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers in their first group-stage encounter, with the top two teams in each group advancing.
Finally, the U23s’ Premier League 2 Division 1 fixture against Manchester United U23s has also been moved. The game was initially slated to take place on Friday 22 October, but will now kick off a day later, at 3pm on Saturday 23 October, instead.
Supporters should note that U23s and U18s home fixtures are currently due to be played behind closed doors until further notice. Only key personnel will be admitted on site at Rush Green Stadium and Little Heath Sports Ground until further notice, and matches at either ground are currently due to be played with only key personnel and a small number of invited guests present.
However, tickets are now on sale for West Ham United U21s' second game in the Papa John's Trophy group stages, away at Colchester United on Tuesday 28 September (kick-off at 7.30pm).
Tickets are priced at £12 for Adults, £10 for 65+/Forces/NHS, £6 for U18s and £2 for U11s. All accessible ticket purchases need to be made via telephone to Colchester's Ticket Office on 01206 755161.
