Joint-Chairman makes donation to help fund Scottish League One player Gary Fraser’s knee surgery

West Ham United Joint-Chairman David Sullivan has made a personal donation of £2,500 to help fund a knee operation for Peterhead player Gary Fraser.

Fraser suffered the injury in December, but is still waiting for surgery with the Scottish League One side saying the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic means no date has been set for the procedure on the NHS.

With the current situation also having depleted club funds, their players have offered to climb Ben Lomond, a mountain in the Scottish Highlands, to raise funds for a private procedure.

Now, Mr Sullivan has pledged his donation towards their target of £10,000 as the football family comes together to support the 26-year-old midfielder.

Any extra money raised will go to mental health charity Back Onside, who count former Peterhead player David Cox as a patron.
