Continental League Cup semi-final and final details confirmed

Durham

Details have been confirmed for West Ham United’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup semi-final clash with current holders Chelsea.

The match, which will take place at Kingsmeadow next Wednesday 3 February, will kick-off at 5pm, streamed live on The FA Player.

Should the Hammers overcome the Blues to reach their first League Cup final, the showpiece occasion will be hosted at Vicarage Road, home of Watford FC, on Sunday 14 March. Kick-off time is to be confirmed.

The Continental Tyres League Cup Final will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1 and will be the tenth in the competition’s history, with the first taking place in 2011.

The other semi-final will see Championship leaders Leicester City travel to Twerton Park to face Bristol City at 7.30pm, also on Wednesday 3 December.

Olli Harder’s Hammers sealed their place in the semi-finals of the competition with a 3-0 win over Durham at the Dagenham & Redbridge Stadium last week. The Irons had last reached the quarter-final stage in 2018/19.

Earlier in this season’s competition, West Ham United sealed their spot in the quarter-finals by finishing top of Group D, winning eight points from matches against Brighton & Hove Albion, Reading, and Charlton Athletic.
