Team news: Moyes gives squad update ahead of Palace test

Michail Antonio in training

West Ham United will head to Crystal Palace on Tuesday night with a near-clear bill of health.

Manager David Moyes revealed in his pre-match press conference that only Arthur Masuaku, who underwent surgery on a knee injury in December, is currently on the sidelines.

With the Hammers facing such a congested period of fixtures - their midweek trip to Selhurst Park comes in the middle of a run of nine games in 29 days - the boss is grateful that the vast majority of his squad is available for selection.

"We're okay in terms of team news," the manager confirmed. "We've got Arthur Masuaku who has been out for a while with a knee injury, but apart from that we don't have too many others.

"We're very fortunate at the moment in that we've got most people fit."

Moyes has also been boosted in recent weeks by the return of Michail Antonio, who notched the winning goals against both Burnley and West Bromwich Albion last week.

He insists there is yet more to come from his No30 though as the Hammers enter the second half of their Premier League campaign.

"Having Michail back makes a huge difference for us," Moyes added. "He's such an important player for us.

"I think he's still a little way off his best, from when we came back after lockdown, and we have to get him back to that level but if he keeps getting us a goal a game we won't be complaining, that's for sure!

"Hopefully he can continue on his run, but I still see improvement in Mich from where he's been and hopefully he can do that."
