Hammers to face Manchester United in Emirates FA Cup fifth round

Bruno Fernandes scores the winner for Manchester United against Liverpool

West Ham United will travel to Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup fifth round after the Red Devils edged past Liverpool in their fourth round tie on Sunday afternoon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side triumphed 3-2 over the Reds in a see-saw Old Trafford clash.

Mo Salah gave Liverpool a first half lead, only for the Red Devils' Mason Greenwood to level soon after.

Marcus Rashford and Salah exchanged goals in the second half, before Bruno Fernandes' 78th minute free-kick settled the tie.

The Hammers, who eased to a 4-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers in the fourth round on Saturday, will now head to Old Trafford for a midweek game in the week commencing 8 February.

West Ham last faced the Red Devils in the FA Cup in the 2015/16 season, when the Manchester side prevailed following a replay in the quarter-final tie.

Full fixture and broadcast details will be confirmed in due course.
