West Ham United Women and Bartercard to host Virtual Conference to boost local businesses

West Ham United women’s team will join forces with Bartercard and Enterprise4Good to give local businesses a helping hand by hosting the West Ham United Women’s & Bartercard SMEcosystem21 Virtual Conference on 18 February 2021.

After an extremely difficult 2020, during which many local companies faced unprecedented challenges, Chris Kirby and Marios Psyllides of West Ham United women’s official sock tie-up sponsors Bartercard, women’s managing director Jack Sullivan and Mark Kass of Enterprise4Good are determined to help local businesses and entrepreneurs find new ways of working, offsetting cash expenses and bringing in much needed extra business.

In line with the Club’s ethos of supporting the community of east London and Essex, the trio will host the West Ham United Women’s & Bartercard SMEcosystem21 Virtual Conference, where business owners and representatives can network, exhibit and learn from experienced experts.

“Everyone knows that the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects have posed challenges to businesses unlike any they will have faced before, so it is important that we do everything we can to help them in 2021,” said West Ham United women’s Managing Director Jack Sullivan.

“We spoke to Bartercard, whose own model is aimed at helping companies grow, increase sales and lower expenses, and enterprise4good and have set up this Virtual event which we believe will help local businesses thrive in the future.

The Virtual Conference will take place on Thursday 18 February between 10am-8pm, with participants able to visit at any time during the day.

The event will have three main parts – a Networking Zone, an Exhibition Hall and a Seminar Room.

The networking zone will be the place for business owners and associates to meet and talk and see if they can work together, while the Exhibition Hall will be the place to network and find out more about the companies who are part of the event. Four networking slots will be allotted during the day.

The Seminar Room, which will be open all day, will be full of experts in their field, sharing their knowledge to give local businesses the chance to learn and think about new ideas on all aspects of their business, from IT to accounting and marketing to management.
