On This Day: Rosenior heads Hammers into FA Cup fourth round

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

West Ham United advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup by beating Arsenal 1-0 at Highbury in an eagerly anticipated replay on this day in 1989.

The two sides had drawn 2-2 at the Boleyn Ground just three days prior, and the Hammers headed to North London with the unenviable task of toppling the league leaders on the road.

However, it was to be a memorable night for West Ham and Leroy Rosenior in particular. The forward reacted quickest to a lofted ball from Alan Dickens, heading past the advancing John Lukic to seal the Hammers' progression.
