In Pictures: West Ham United welcome capacity crowd back to London Stadium

West Ham United welcomed a full house back to London Stadium for the first time in 541 days on Monday evening.

Tens of thousands of Hammers descended on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the opening home Premier League fixture of the 2021/22 season against Leicester City.

There was plenty for the Claret and Blue Army to enjoy before kick-off, with the presentation of the Hammer of the Year award to Tomáš Souček, an interview with 2012 Championship Play-Off final match-winner Ricardo Vaz Tê and a stunning light and music show.

And the best supporters in the land marked the occasion with the loudest rendition of 'Bubbles' in the iconic venue's five-plus year history, and were rewarded when Pablo Fornals put West Ham in front midway through the first half.
