On This Day: Amalfitano and Sakho see off Manchester City

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

Diafra Sakho scored for the sixth Premier League game in succession to help West Ham United overcome Manchester City on this day in 2014.

The Irons took the lead on 21 minutes when Morgan Amalfitano stabbed home Enner Valencia's cut-back from three yards.

Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure hit the bar for the visitors before Sakho headed in Aaron Cresswell's cross to continue his dream start to life in Claret and Blue.

David Silva pulled one back with a curled shot into the far corner but Sam Allardyce's side would not be denied a famous 2-1 win at the Boleyn Ground.
