On This Day: West Ham hit four to win at Bristol Rovers

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

West Ham United were 4-0 Division One winners at Bristol Rovers on this day in 1992.

Trevor Morley opened the scoring, latching on to strike partner Clive Allen's hooked through ball before slotting past goalkeeper Gavin Kelly.

Morley was then fouled and Julian Dicks stepped up to thump the resulting penalty beyond Kelly to make it 2-0, and it was three before half-time as Kevin Keen finished neatly through the goalkeeper's legs.

Allen completed the scoring late on at the Memorial Ground, tapping in after Peter Butler's shot had hit the post.

West Ham's win was their fifth in seven matches and saw then rise into the top two. The season would end in promotion to the Premier League for the first time.
