On This Day: Danny Williamson caps West Ham's win at Bolton with George Weah-esque solo strike

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

West Ham United put on a sensational second-half show to thrash Bolton Wanderers 3-0 on this day exactly 25 years ago!

Ian Bishop got the ball rolling at Burnden Park, lashing home the opening goal with a long-range drive a minute after half-time, although goalkeeper Keith Branagan may feel he should have done better.

Tony Cottee made it 2-0 on 68 minutes, smashing in after the home side had failed to clear a corner, and the scoring was completed a minute from the end when Danny Williamson collected the ball on the edge of his own penalty area and ran 70 yards before shooting low past Branagan.

The travelling Claret and Blue Army celebrated their team collecting all three points on the road for the third time in seven games that season.

Harry Redknapp's side would finish the 1995/96 season in tenth place, while Bolton finished bottom and were relegated.
