On this day: Burrows, Chapman & Holmes bury City

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

West Ham United defeated Manchester City 3-1 at the Boleyn Ground on this day in 1993.

The result was rarely in doubt once David Burrows had given the Hammers the lead inside three minutes.

Lee Chapman doubled the advantage with 29 minutes on the clock and Matty Holmes made it three after the break.

Keith Curle netted a late penalty in reply, but it could not sour a fine November night for the Hammers.
