West Ham United’s first-team squad continued their work at a sun-soaked Rush Green this week.

The Hammers have been strictly abiding to Phase One of the protocol agreed by the Premier League, all 20 clubs, independent experts and the Government, training in small groups, maintaining social distancing, arriving and departing in their training kit and working with disinfected equipment.

The intense sessions for each group of four to five players are being led by David Moyes and his coaching staff Alan Irvine, Kevin Nolan, Paul Nevin and Xavi Valero, following warm-ups conducted by fitness coach Josh Ewens.

Working practices will only be extended when the Government give their permission to do so. In the meantime, the Club, its medical and operations team has put many measures in place that go above and beyond the Government and Premier League recommendations to ensure that Rush Green can be as safe as it can possibly be, including health screening and temperature tents for players and staff - including Club Photographer Arfa Griffiths - upon entry.
