On This Day: Feghouli and Ayew secure West Ham a final-day win at Burnley

West Ham United ended the 2016/17 season with a come-from-behind 2-1 Premier League victory at Burnley on this day three years ago.

The Hammers conceded to Sam Vokes on 23 minutes, but leveled within four minutes when Sofiane Feghouli netted to complete a fine move that also involved Edimilson Fernandes and Andre Ayew.

Ghana forward Ayew scored the winning goal 18 minutes from the end with a close-range header after Tom Heaton had pushed Swiss midfielder Fernandes' shot on to the crossbar.

An 18-year-old Declan Rice replaced Fernandes late on to make his eagerly-anticipated West Ham debut.

Victory at Turf Moor meant West Ham ended the season in elevebth place, missing out on a top-ten position to West Bromwich Albion on goal difference.
