On This Day: Bobby Zamora shoots West Ham United to 2005 Championship Play-Off final

Bobby Zamora struck twice to send West Ham United into the Championship Play-Off final for the second successive season on this day in 2005.

Striker Zamora broke the deadlock on the hour mark when he tapped home partner Marlon Harewood's cross from inside the six-yard box.

And the pair linked up brilliantly eleven minutes later when Harewood's perfect long pass was met by Zamora, who sent a cushioned volley past Kelvin Davis.

The 2-0 victory sent the Irons through to face Preston North End at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, where Zamora struck again to secure promotion back to the Premier League after a two-year absence.
