Premier League Invitational FIFA tournament to return next week

ePL Invitational

Following the popular first iteration of the ePremier League Invitational tournament, a new group of top-flight footballers – plus special guests – will be pitting themselves against one another on EA SPORTS FIFA 20 next week.

After West Ham’s Ryan Fredericks was unfortunate to fall to a late goal from Burnley’s Dwight McNeil in the first round last time, Wolves’ Diogo Jota went on to beat Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold in a dramatic competition final, settled by a golden goal.

The competition saw the prize fund being donated to the #PlayersTogether initiative, while also encouraging supporters, through the entertainment it provided, to stay home, protect the NHS, and save lives.

In this second iteration, Premier League clubs will once again be represented by players and special guests, going head-to-head online in a knockout competition on PlayStation4.

Representatives for other clubs include Phil Foden for Manchester City; Ryan Sessegnon for Tottenham Hotspur; and Callum Wilson for Bournemouth – with West Ham United’s player soon to be revealed!

The draw for the second tournament will be revealed at 9am on Monday, with matches streamed live four times per day from 3pm on Tuesday, ahead of the semi-final and final from 5pm on Saturday 9 May.

Fans will be able to watch all of West Ham’s games live on whufc.com and the West Ham United eSports Twitch account.
