Ultimate West Ham United 1980s 5-a-side team revealed!

The votes are in and the West Ham Ultimate 1980s 5-a-side Team, powered by our Official Energy Partner, Utilita, can now be revealed!

The decade which saw the Hammers win their third FA Cup and achieve their best-ever league finish of third in 1985/86 had plenty of candidates to make the final five, and here is your selection.

In goal, for the second successive decade, Phil Parkes get the nod. After keeping a clean sheet in the 1980 FA Cup final success, he won promotion to the top flight and helped the Hammers to third in 1985/86. He remained at the Boleyn Ground throughout the decade, making 440 appearances in total.

At the back, it's another member of the 70s team who carried on his success to this decade - the legendary Billy Bonds. He lifted the FA Cup for a second time in May 1980 and was Hammer of the Year for a fourth time in 1987 - at the age of 40.

In midfield, we have the third of a trio whose contribution spanned the 70s and 80s, with Trevor Brooking making the cut. He scored the Wembley winner in 1980 and won the Hammer of the Year four years later,

The other slot in the middle of the park is taken by Alan Devonshire, whose wing wizardry will never be forgotten by the Claret & Blue faithful fortunate to watch him throughout the 1980s,

Last, but not least, Tony Cottee is your striker. He was another hugely successful Academy graduate, scoring on his debut against Tottenham in 1983 and never looking back. He notched 26 times in 1985/86 and 29 the year later.
