Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Basset & Gold..
Iain Dowie's winner five minutes from time saw West Ham United hold off a stirring Coventry City comeback to secure a thrilling 3-2 Premier League win at the Boleyn Ground on 31 January 1996.
The Hammers looked on course for victory when goals from Marc Rieper and Tony Cottee put Harry Redknapp's side in control just before the hour-mark.
However, Dion Dublin halved the deficit before the Sky Blues pulled level through Noel Whelan's strike with eight minutes to play - just moments after a 17-year-old Frank Lampard had been introduced for his West Ham debut in place of John Moncur.
And Lampard's disappointment turned to joy three minutes later when Dowie scored the fifth and final goal of the game to send the Irons up to 14th in the table.
