On This Day: Nikica Jelavic's late strike sees off Wolves

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Basset & Gold...

West Ham United edged through to the FA Cup fourth round as Nikica Jelavic's late goal saw off a gallant Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Boleyn Ground on 9 January 2016.

The Croatian centre forward netted his first goal for the Hammers with an unerring first-time finish from Andy Carroll's pass.

The victory ensured Slaven Bilic's side would be able to sign-off life in Upton Park with an unforgettable fourth-round replay win over Liverpool the following month.
