West Ham United can confirm that Academy defender Ajibola Alese has extended his loan spell at EFL League One side Accrington Stanley until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old centre-back has made eight appearances for Stanley so far this term, helping John Coleman’s side to 15th in the League One table.

Alese will look continue his development at the Crown Ground after an impressive first half of the campaign.

The England U19 International was the recipient of the prestigious Dylan Tombides award last season for his excellent performances in a Hammers shirt across U18, U21 and U23 level.

The youngster started all four of West Ham’s Premier League 2 fixtures in August before leaving for Lancashire on loan.

Everyone at West Ham United would like to wish Ajibola well for the remainder of his spell with Accrington.
