On This Day: Michail Antonio shoots down Big Sam's Sunderland

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Basset & Gold..

Michail Antonio was West Ham United's match-winner as Slaven Bilic's side climbed back into the Premier League's top five with a 1-0 victory over Sunderland on this day in 2016!

The No30, who was showing exactly why the Hammers had signed him from Nottingham Forest the previous summer with a succession of eye-catching displays, pounced on a mistake by Patrick van Aanholt before curling an accurate finish past Vito Mannone, before celebrating with a 'Homer Simpson' dance!

The win saw Bilic get one over his predecessor Sam Allardyce, who had been appointed Sunderland boss in October 2015, and saw the Irons continue their challenge for a European place in their final season at the Boleyn Ground.
