Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Basset & Gold..

West Ham United climbed out of the Premier League's bottom three with a crucial 2-0 victory over Birmingham City at the Boleyn Ground on 10 February 2010.

Starting the day in the relegation zone after a 2-1 reverse at Burnley in their previous fixture, Gianfranco Zola's men responded in style to claim the points with a goal in each half.

Alessandro Diamanti opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time with an unstoppable free-kick before Carlton Cole's goal midway through the second period sealed the points.
