On This Day: Five-star Hammers beat Burnley

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Basset & Gold....

West Ham United were involved in one of their most bizarre Premier League games ever at the Boleyn Ground on 28 November 2009.

Goals from Jack Collison, Junior Stanislas, Guillermo Franco and a penalty each from Carlton Cole and Luis Jimenez saw West Ham race into a 5-0 lead against Burnley inside 64 minutes.

However, three late goals from Steven Fletcher (two) and Chris Eagles gave the final scoreline a more balance appearance.

You can enjoy our five goals from this strange game again right here.
