It was a disappointing evening for West Ham United U21s on Wednesday night as they bowed out of the Leasing.com Trophy.
The hosts opened the scoring through Joel Randall, but Joe Powell was able to level for the young Hammers from the penalty spot before the break.
However, two late goals for Exeter proved to be decisive at St James Park, leaving West Ham outside the qualification spots on goal difference.
