On This Day: Hammers hammer Watford

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Basset & Gold....

West Ham signed off at home in style on this day in 2004, when they triumphed 4-0 against Watford in their final regular season Boleyn Ground match of the 2003/04 campaign.

The result was never in doubt once Christian Dailly had added to Don Hutchison's opener before the interval had been reached.

A Marlon Harewood brace after the break completed the mauling, with West Ham going onto the Division One play-offs, where they would miss out to Crystal Palace in a Millennium Stadium final.
