West Ham United will open the 2019/20 Barclays Women’s Super League season away to reigning champions Arsenal and close the campaign with a home fixture versus Bristol City.
Having claimed a seventh-place finish in the FA WSL in the Club’s first season as a professional outfit – as well as a Wembley Stadium outing in the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final – West Ham United women’s team will be looking to progress in a second campaign in the women’s top flight.
The Irons' first match of the 2019/20 Barclays WSL season will be shown live on BT Sport as Matt Beard's side travel to Boreham Wood to take on Arsenal.
After an opening day fixture against the Gunners, on Sunday 8 September at 2:30pm, West Ham will welcome Birmingham City to Rush Green Stadium in the first home game of the 2019/20 season. September will then close with a home clash against newly promoted Tottenham Hotspur.
October will see West Ham travel to Crawley Town to take on Brighton & Hove Albion before welcoming Chelsea to Rush Green. An away trip to Manchester City, West Ham’s FA Cup Final opponents in May, will then kick-off November before back-to-back home matches versus Reading and Manchester United.
The calendar year will close with consecutive away matches, against Liverpool and Bristol City, with the final match of 2019 being played on Sunday 15 December.
The new year will begin on Sunday 5 January with a home tie against Everton. Brighton will also visit Rush Green Stadium, with an away match against Spurs sandwiched in-between.
A busy February will pit Matt Beard’s West Ham against four opponents. Manchester City and Liverpool will be the visitors to Rush Green, on Sunday 9 and Sunday 23 February respectively, while the Irons also face away games against Chelsea and Reading.
At time of writing, the away clash with the Royals is the only scheduled midweek league game for the Hammers this season, set to be played on Wednesday 12 February.
Manchester United and Arsenal will be West Ham’s opponents in March before consecutive away games against Birmingham City and Everton in April.
West Ham’s season will conclude on Saturday 16 May with a home clash against Bristol City.
Supporters are advised that all fixtures are subject to change.
The Continental Tyres Cup group stages, yet to be drawn, will begin on Sunday 22 September, while the 2019/20 SSE Women’s FA Cup will begin for West Ham with the fourth round on Sunday 26 January.
