An early goal in the second half for Liverpool FC Women was enough to hand defeat to Matt Beard's West Ham United in Monday's Women's Super League fixture.
A 48th minute strike by Courtney Sweetman-Kirk was the difference in a match filled with chance for the Irons, but the away side just couldn't turn an opportunity into a goal.
