Team news: Carroll starts for Hammers at Bournemouth

Andy Carroll

Andy Carroll returns to the starting eleven in West Ham United’s Premier League clash at Southampton on Saturday.

Carroll replaces Marko Arnautovic as Manuel Pellegrini makes one change from the team which defeated Arsenal 1-0 in last weekend’s London derby.

The No9’s fellow striker Chicharito also returns to the bench after missing four weeks of action with a back problem.

West Ham will hope to continue a run which has seen them take 19 points from their last nine outings and cement their place in the division’s top ten.

Fresh from keeping a clean sheet against the Gunners, Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop continue at centre half, with Pablo Zabaleta, who celebrated his 34th birthday this week, and Aaron Cresswell at full back.

Declan Rice and Mark Noble anchor the midfield, with Michail Antonio, Samir Nasri and Felipe Anderson set to support Carroll in attack.
