Having made his first team debut, first Premier League start and registered his first assist in the first team already this season, Saturday’s win marked his first involvement in the FA Cup.

After goals from Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll ensured the Hammers safe passage through to round four, 20-year-old Diangana wants to keep the run rolling on.

“It’s a very nice feeling to be through to the next round of the FA Cup,” he beamed.

“Every game we go into we try to make a fast start and try to get goals so it was great to do that on Saturday.

“We want to try and go all the way in this competition. The manager said to us it’s a chance to win a cup so we’re going to try and do that.

“I’ve been building a relationship with the players since I’ve been in the team and the fans as well, you can hear them behind you cheering you on so that’s great.”
