Team news: Lanzini returns to the bench for Fulham derby

Manuel Lanzini

Manuel Lanzini makes his return from a long-term knee injury for Friday’s Premier League clash with Fulham, as Manuel Pellegrini names the Argentine among his substitues.

Lanzini has been absent since suffering a serious knee problem when he was preparing for last summer’s World Cup with his national team, but after coming back to the training pitch in recent weeks is now ready for a place in the matchday squad.

Pellegrini makes one change to his starting XI from the side which drew at Crystal Palace last time out, with Pablo Zabaleta coming in for Ryan Fredericks at right back.

That means that Zabaleta, Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell will form the back four in front of Lukasz Fabianski.

Skipper Mark Noble, Declan Rice and Robert Snodgrass will operate in central midfield, with Felipe Anderson and Michail Antonio supporting Chicharito in attack.

West Ham United: Fabianski, Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Noble (c), Snodgrass, Antonio, Felipe Anderson, Chicharito
