Half Marathon success for the Any Old Irons

Richard ran the half marathon to raise money for Any Old Irons

Hammers fan Richard Arundel raised vital funds for the Any Old Irons group when he took part in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Half Marathon last Sunday.

After being inspired by the great work the West Ham United Foundation and Friends of the Elderly does with Any Old Irons, Richard ran the half marathon with his son, Jack.

Richard chose to raise money for the Any Old Irons, after meeting them whilst taking them for a guided boat trip at the Olympic Park.

Cheered on by five Any Old Irons members, Richard completed the run in just over two hours, which was his goal time. He has currently raised £300 which will all go towards the running of the group.

West Ham United Foundation would like to offer their congratulations to Richard for completing the run in such a great time.
