Foundation launch Rival Ride 2020

Take to the road in West Ham United Foundation’s Cycle Ride Challenge to support their mission to help those most in need.

The West Ham United Foundation’s Rival Ride 2020 will see a group of 50 riders complete the away trip from London Stadium to Carrow Road, home of Norwich City Football Club. The riders will cover 130 miles over two days and will be joined on the journey by West Ham United legend, Marlon Harewood

Leaving Stratford on Friday 24 April with the bulk of the cycling completed on day one, there will be an overnight hotel stay and an evening meal in Thetford hosted by Marlon and other special guests, before breakfast the next morning and the final leg to Norwich.

Riders will then watch the match between the Canaries and Hammers on Saturday 25 April, with coach transfers returning all riders (and bikes) safely back to London Stadium.

Harewood has confirmed his place in the Rival Ride challenge and says: “Having seen some of the projects in action first-hand I really believe in the amazing work of the Foundation. Every penny raised will be put to great use, helping some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. As well as supporting this amazing cause it’s also going to be a great personal challenge!

“We’ll all be working as a team to reach Norwich and I look forward to meeting everyone and cheering the Hammers on to three points!”

The target is to have at least 50 cyclists taking part and raising money with all proceeds from the ride going to the brilliant work being undertaken on a daily basis by the WHU Foundation. With 30+ projects working across sport, education, and health, supporting some of the most vulnerable children and adults, there is something to inspire any fundraiser.
