Book your spot on Pellegrini Q&A at Monday’s Coaching Association evening

Pellegrini

West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini will be taking questions and queries from a group of up-and-coming football coaches on Monday 24 September as part of the Club’s Official Coaching Association, and supporters still have a chance to be there themselves, with spots on the session – at Rush Green from 6pm – still available.

The Association’s second event of the season, which follows the appearance of professional boxer and 2016 Olympian Joshua Buatsi back in August, gives coaches the chance to look into the workings of an established and experienced Premier League manager.

Pellegrini, who has of course lifted the Premier League trophy as Manchester City boss and worked in divisions across the globe including in Spain and South America, will be specifically talking about the different cultures of football leagues across the world.

The boss has decades of experience managing at the very highest level after a playing career which saw him play 28 times for his national team.

Coaches learn at the Coaching Association's last session

After what promises to be an insightful question and answer session, the Chilean’s coaching staff will be leading an outdoors session, giving the local coaching fraternity in attendance the opportunity to get tips and hints into the workings of a top flight football team’s training sessions to take back to their outfits.

Those who have or will be signing up to the evening are advised to arrive no later than 5:45pm for a strict 6pm start at West Ham United’s Rush Green training base – home of the first team.

Spots on the session can be purchased for £30, while the full package of the five remaining evenings can be bought for a reduced price of £120.

Pellegrini will be the next Q&A subject after Joshua Buatsi last time out

Official Coaching Association sessions are hosted by the Academy of Football and Director Terry Westley. Last season’s four sessions included Q&As from the likes of Mark Noble, Matt Upson, Paul Konchesky, Declan Rice and FA Technical Director Dan Ashworth.

Last month’s event, held at Chadwell Heath, was well-attended and gave coaches valuable knowledge of how to deal with pre-season training with Buatsi as guest.
