Manuel Pellegrini oversaw his first training session as West Ham United as the Hammers got down to work in Switzerland on Tuesday morning.
The Hammers were put through their paces at the Sportplatz Ri-AU, the home of Swiss 3. Liga club FC Bad Ragaz, in humid conditions under gloomy Alpine skies which began to rain heavily midway through the 90-minute session.
Pellegrini called his squad together to outline his ambitions for the season ahead before the players took part in a circuit of drills, both with and without the ball, designed to build their base fitness levels for the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
Among those taking part were summer signings Ryan Fredericks and Issa Diop, who are starting their West Ham careers after joining from Fulham and Toulouse respectively.
