Snodgrass: The West Ham fans are amazing

Robert Snodgrass says the backing of a-60,000 strong Claret & Blue Army can only inspire the Hammers to new heights in 2019.

With Half-Season Tickets now on sale, West Ham United are set to host their first game at the higher capacity when Brighton & Hove Albion visit east London to kick-off the New Year on 2 January.

Snodgrass, who has returned to the first team fold with a bang this term after spending last season on loan at Aston Villa, is hugely appreciative of the ‘amazing’ support given by the Hammers faithful at London Stadium

Now he cannot wait to reward a 60,000 crowd with performances fitting that stage.

Robert Snodgrass applauds West Ham fans

“The fans are amazing and I can’t speak highly enough of them,” he said. “They’ve been great for the team through good times and bad and that’s the West Ham way.

“What they want to see, even if you’re not winning games, is that you’re working hard for the badge – I can’t stress that enough.

“The hard working people who come here and pay a lot of money, the least they should get back is hard work, determination and the desire to play for the badge and the club.

“You’re seeing that because there is a good connection between the players and the fans and then that’s what happens – they’ll support you.”
