West Ham United's FA Cup third round opponents confirmed

The FA Cup trophy

West Ham United have been drawn to face Birmingham City in the Emirates FA Cup third round.

Monday evening's draw handed the Hammers a home tie against the Blues to be played on the weekend of 5 January.

Garry Monk's Birmingham are currently ninth in the EFL Championship table, with 30 points from their opening 20 games of the season.

The Hammers last faced Birmingham in the 2011/12 promotion-winning Championship season, when the teams shared the points with a 1-1 draw at St Andrews and a 3-3 draw at the Boleyn Ground.
