West Ham Foundation celebrates the graduation of its degree students


The West Ham United Foundation was celebrating the gradution of students who have been on their course in partnership with University of East London deliver a unique opportunity to gain a BSc (hons) degree over three years this week.

Our two-year Foundation degree in Applied Community Sports provides you with the skills needed to gain employment in the sports sector, industry qualifications such as FA coaching badges, fantastic guest speakers in sport who you can connect with, as well as the academic rigour to enable you to progress on to your third year at UEL in BSc Sports Coaching or Sport, PE & Development.

Our innovative degree programme explores a vast array of areas within sport. You will learn and develop your knowledge on how sport can impact on local, national and international communities, coaching delivery techniques and principles, project management strategies, politics in sport, the need for equality and inclusion in sport, business development models, organisational structures and provide access to placement opportunities with West Ham United and the sports industry in and around London and Essex. 
 
Our students enjoy a multitude of networking events with major organisations in the field of Sport as part of their degree programme, where they can connect and exchange details with some of sports elite industry experts, whilst also having amazing opportunities to travel abroad during the summer months to work alongside international sports organisations on community projects. Most recently, our students took part in the United World Games in Austria and are flying out to Sweden in October 2018. 

Brielle Koulen graduated from her 3rd year last week, and had only positive things to say about the course and the experience of working alongside West Ham United Foundation and would recommend it to anyone.
